Delta conducts private investigations, litigation research and support, pre-employment background checks and accident investigations for attorneys, employers, insurers, property owners and private individuals across California. Every assignment produces a written report: what was observed, when, where, by whom, and by what method — supported by video, stills and documents retained with their metadata intact.
We are equally direct about the limits. Evidence gathered unlawfully is worse than no evidence at all, because it can taint a case and expose the client who paid for it. We work within the statutes that govern this profession, and we will tell you plainly when what you want cannot be obtained legally.

Investigation Questions
Yes. Investigative work is conducted under California Private Investigator license PI 188360, issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. In California it is a misdemeanor to perform investigative work for hire without that license, and the number is public record — verify ours, and anyone else’s, before you hire.
Yes. We do not disclose client identities or the existence of an engagement, and we do not publish case studies. Where an attorney retains us, our work is normally covered by that attorney’s work product privilege — which is one reason counsel often engages the investigator directly.
No, and any investigator who says otherwise is describing a federal crime. Obtaining telephone records by pretext violates the Telephone Records and Privacy Protection Act; financial records are protected by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act; credit reports may only be pulled for a permissible purpose under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. We work within those limits, which is also what keeps the evidence usable.
It depends on the scope and the hours the work genuinely requires. We provide a written estimate before starting, and we will tell you when we think an investigation is unlikely to produce what you are hoping for rather than bill you to find that out.
That is how we write them. Reports are prepared as factual records with dates, times, locations and methods documented, video and stills retained with their metadata intact, and a clear chain of custody. Our investigators are available to testify to their own observations where a matter proceeds to hearing or trial.
